To create the project shown here, follow the helpful hints and the Upper Level Focus™ pattern as outlined in our how-to book Originals™ Card Confidence Program. For more detailed information on how to create the featured technique and project, or to purchase a copy of Originals, contact your Close To My Heart Consultant.

  • Trim the papers as outlined on page 42 of Originals.
  • Create a mask from a 2 1/4” x 4 1/2” piece of scrap paper.
  • Fold the card base in half, using the embossing stylus to accentuate the fold.
  • Temporarily attach the mask to the bottom of the card.
  • Using Dutch Blue ink, the mask, and the rubber brayer, apply ink to the top of the card. Repeat until desired intensity is reached. Remove the mask to reveal the faux tear.
  • Using Clover Meadow ink, stamp the stems along the bottom of the card, leaving room for the flowers. Distress the edges of piece C.
  • Using coordinating inks, stamp the flowers.
  • Using Tulip ink, stamp a sentiment on the right side of piece B.
  • Assemble card as outlined in Originals. (Note: Use foam tape to attach piece C.)
  • Hold the foam number with a piercing tool and apply heat until the number shrinks, as desired. Using Liquid Glass, attach number to the left of the sentiment.
  • Thread three Dutch Blue buttons with White Daisy embroidery floss and attach to the card, as desired.
